150 inhabitants of one of Catalonia’s last industrial colonies struggle to save their theatre, the nexus that has held them together for 140 years. When everything seems lost they win “La Grossa”, the national lottery of Catalonia.
Núria Deulofeu: Multifaceted actress who has worked in more than 50 theatrical productions, series and films in Spain. For the last 3 years she has been taking her first steps as a director and producer in film and theater. Besides acting, she has co-written, co-directed and produced the play with which she has been touring for 3 years (Welcome to Berlin - selected at the Festival Pindoles) and is currently co-director of the youth department of the Estudi Karloff (audiovisual acting school in Barcelona). She has also been collaborating for 4 years in the Catalan public radio iCat, and combines it with her voice over works. Aurora Sulli: Film editor with twenty years of experience, during her career she has combined her work as Head of Post Production on the WebDoc VICE IBERIA MEDIA PLUS, with the edition of award-winning documentary and feature films at various international festivals: “Estigmas” by Adán Aliaga (Seminci de Valladolid: best new director), “Esquivar y pegar” by Juanjo Jiménez and Adán Aliaga (San Sebastián Film Festival: Made in Spain and best movie at Festival Alcances) “Los Increíbles” by David Valero (official selection at San Sebastián Film Festival and best documentary film at Abycine Festival, Nantes Film Festival and Festival Ópera Prima de Tudela, among others), “Can you hear me?” by Pedro Ballesteros, Public Award at Docs Barcelona 2020 and nominated at Gaudí Awards as best documentary film). Within her work life she also developed extensive experience in scriptwriting highlighting “L’altra frontera” by André Cruz (Best European Movie at Brussels International Festival of Fantasy Film (BIFF).
